Ashanti Shequoiya Douglas, popularly referred to as Ashanti was born on October 13, 1980 in Glen Cove New York United States. She is a popular singer, songwriter and actor from the United States. Ashanti, a teenage singer-songwriter and actor from the US has been signed to Murder Inc. Records to record her in 2002. The same year, she was featured as a guest on The Fat Joe's What's Luv? She portrayed Latasha as Latasha in Army Wives and starred in the film Christmas in the City. Aitch, a British artist, used her music in his song Rock wit U for Baby on 10 March 2022.
